The Government of Niue, announces an adjustment to national fuel prices following continued increases in the purchase price, costs to import and local operational costs.

Over the past three shipments these 3 factors have significantly impacted the cost of fuel supplied in Niue. The last fuel price review for petrol and diesel took place in 2022, while jet fuel prices were last adjusted in 2024. After careful monitoring and assessment, a price change is now required to maintain Niue’s essential fuel supply.

Effective 8 December 2025, the following changes will apply:
• Petrol: Retail pump price will increase from $3.50 to $3.90 per litre
• Diesel: Retail pump price will increase from $3.70 to $4.00 per litre

The Government acknowledges that price adjustments may place pressure on households and businesses. These decisions are not made lightly, and every effort has been taken to minimize the impact on the community while ensuring the reliability and continuity of Niue’s fuel services.
