The Government of Niue is pleased to announce that today, the 19th Niue Assembly was officially sworn in.
Members of Parliament representing all 14 villages were formally sworn in, alongside the elected Common Roll members. The 19th Assembly comprises a mix of newly elected representatives and returning members from the 18th Niue Assembly, reflecting both continuity and renewed leadership in the governance of Niue.
During the proceedings, the 19th Niue Assembly oversaw the swearing-in of the new Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Billy Talagi. This was followed by the election of the Prime Minister of Niue, with Hon. Dalton Tagelagi elected to serve as Prime Minister for the 19th Niue Assembly.
