The Office of the Secretary to Government (OSOG) wishes to advise all Public Service employees and the community that phishing emails are currently circulating, with reports indicating that some users have already been affected. Niue Telecom Limited are actively monitoring this activity and encourage all users to remain vigilant.
Phishing emails may contain suspicious links, attachments, or requests for sensitive information.
Please be cautious when opening emails, clicking links, downloading attachments, or providing passwords or other personal information.
If you receive an email that looks suspicious, or you are unsure whether an email is legitimate, do not click any links or respond to it. Please contact the Telecom Niue ICT Team for assistance and verification.
Email Access Restriction
Due to the current security concerns, email access is currently restricted to Niue and New Zealand only.
If you are currently in another country or travelling overseas and require access to your email, please notify the Telecom Niue ICT Team so access can be granted for your location.
Phishing emails are fake or misleading emails designed to look like they come from a trusted person or organisation. Their aim is usually to trick you into clicking a harmful link, opening an attachment, providing your password or personal information, or making a payment.
Common warning signs include unexpected requests, urgent messages, unfamiliar links or attachments, and requests to confirm your login details.
For assistance or to report a suspicious email, please contact the Niue Telecom Limited Helpdesk: Email: helpdesk@telecomniue.com or Phone: 015.
