The Niue Immigration Department has announced updates to the Niue visa exemption and permanent residency certification for passports.

The Niue visa exemption (previously known as the Niue Exempt Label) are issued to persons of Niuean descent. The Niue permanent residency certification is for non-Niuean’s who have been granted permanent residency and reside on Niue.

Applicants for the Niue visa exemption must provide documentation to the Chief Immigration Officer to verify their identity as a Niuean descendant.

The Niue visa exemption is for travel purposes only, it is affixed to passports and allows the holder to travel to Niue on a one-way ticket. The exemption is non-transferable and valid for the duration of the passport’s validity.
Permanent residency certification has been updated for passports.
